On 19 October 2023, IAM and WTR jointly announced the winners of its 2023 Global IP Awards, which recognises the outstanding achievements of law and attorney firms in patent and trademark work during 2022/2023, at a gala dinner in London. The awards identified a total of 169 awards winners across 80 jurisdictions.

Wanhuida Intellectual Property was recognized as the Trademark Litigation Firm of the Year in China. The firm made its debut last year, ranked in the same category.

Each year, the winners are selected on the basis of a wide range of criteria relating to excellence, achievement, and market reputation from a list compiled through the extensive IAM Patent 1000 and WTR 1000 research. The winners emerge from thousands of written submissions the research team received from firms, interviews of thousands of top practitioners worldwide and references from in-house leaders offering extensive market intelligence on the leading players in the field.

Launched in 2019, the Global IP Awards heralds the excellent achievements of IP law and attorney firms in litigation, prosecution, and transactional work.
